About the St. Charles County Democratic Club
A Legacy of Engagement, A Future Forged in Democratic Values
Since 1954, the St. Charles County Democratic Club has been a steadfast presence in our community, dedicated to empowering citizens and championing the enduring principles of the Democratic Party.
For over 70 years, we’ve been helping people right here in St. Charles County, Missouri, get involved in politics and understand what’s going on in our government.
What We Believe In
Our main goal has been the same since we started: To get people in St. Charles County, Missouri, engaged in politics.
We want to help people care more about our town, our state, and our country. We also work to support and keep alive the main ideas and beliefs of the Democratic Party. Plus, we try to make sure our government acts responsibly to bring fairness, good opportunities, and a good life to everyone.
Here’s what that means for us:
- Advocating and Supporting Democratic Candidates: Good government starts with good leaders. Everything we do focuses on support and advocacy of Democratic candidates and leaders.
- Getting People Involved: We want everyone to be able to join in and talk about the important issues that affect all of us.
- Understanding Government: We help people learn how our local, state, and national governments work and how they make a difference in our community.
- Democratic Ideas: We stand for the important values of the Democratic Party, like being fair to everyone, making sure everyone is equal, giving everyone a chance, and working to make things better for all.
- Good Government: We work to make sure our elected leaders do their jobs well, with honesty, and really listen to the people. We want a government that works for justice and a better life for every single person in St. Charles County.
A Community for Democrats
We’re more than just a group that talks about politics. The St. Charles County Democratic Club is a lively group of people. We are your neighbors and friends. We believe we’re stronger when we work together, and we care a lot about Democratic values. We try to be a friendly place for everyone, where all different kinds of people can come together to:
- Meet People: You can connect with other people who also want to make good changes in our community.
- Learn Together: We talk about important things, listen to special guests, and learn about what’s new in politics.
- Take Action: You can find ways to help out. This could be supporting people running for office, helping with campaigns, speaking up for rules that we think will make life better for everyone, or running for an office!
We believe that by working together, and following the strong history and hopeful ideas of the Democratic Party, we can keep making St. Charles County a place that gives everyone a chance, treats people fairly, and makes life good.
