DESCRIPTION:Join Indivisible We Will Persist on Saturday, April 25, as we stand in solidarity with the national May Day strikes by supporting those who have served. Indivisible is hosting a dual-collection drive to provide immediate comfort and mental escape for our active-duty military and veterans. Items collected on April 25th will be donated to the St. Charles VA Satellite location or to the St. Louis VA on May Day.\n\nWhat We’re Collecting:\n\nPaperback Books: New or gently used. Paperbacks are preferred for their portability and ease of shipping to remote locations. Items will be donated to the St. Charles VA Satellite location.\nNew Undergarments: New and unused undershirts, underwear, and personal care items. All sizes for each are accepted. Items will be donated to the St. Louis VA.\n\nDrop-off Location: Northeast and Southeast corners of Mid Rivers and Suemandy protest location. Date: Saturday, April 25thTime: 12pm – 1:30pm\nFor those stationed far from home or veterans transitioning through difficult times, these items are more than just “stuff.” A book offers a vital mental escape from the high-stress environment of service, helping to reduce isolation and maintain mental health. Meanwhile, high-quality undergarments are often the most requested yet least donated items; they provide essential hygiene, dignity, and physical comfort when access to laundry or supplies is limited.\nBy participating, you are directly contributing to the well-being of our veterans while honoring the May Day spirit of collective action and mutual aid.\n\nThank you.\n
