Third Street, St. Charles, MO 63301 US\nThe St. Charles County Council introduced Bill 5474, which directs the County Executive to enter into a 287(g) agreement with ICE. This agreement would deputize local law enforcement to act as ICE agents, expanding immigration enforcement in the region. Join faith and business leaders alongside other concerned community members, to respond to this bill and it’s devastating economic and social costs to your community.\nWhy are 287(g) agreements a problem? ICE is quickly and carelessly ramping up its enforcement and will seek outside help from state and local law enforcement to arrest and deport noncitizens.
